Comments on Movie: Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012)
"Like its predecessors, is much too friendly to dislike, and its vision of interspecies multiculturalism is generous and appealing." - A. O. Scott, New York Times.

"The best bits are basic and all but voiceless: those Scrat-intensive set pieces, still inspiredly squirrelly if much too far apart." - Jonanthan Kiefer, Village Voice.

"Will perhaps be a delight for little kids." - Roger Ebert, rogerebert.com.

"It's only a wish that with the inevitable fifth instalment, the screenwriters would work more closely with the directors to create a film that's every bit as heart-warming as it is visually august." - Jamie Neish, EmptyScreens.com.

"Plenty of historical and mystical humour; this film will certainly charm you, if you allow yourself to enjoy the Ice Age adventure that is." - Rosalyn Lim.

Movie Review: Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012)
Unusual herd vs. sea pirates.

Compared to its previous films, Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) certainly has major improvements in various aspects and as usual, their visuals are top notch. There are plenty of distinct characters and beautiful locations introduced in this fourth Ice Age film.

Diego and Siera.

They are all pleasant, such as a band of animal pirates, army of hamsters, grandmother sloth, gigantic sea monsters, sirens, saber-toothed squirrels of Scratlantis and so on.

Scrat.

Overall, the concept is interesting, witty and amusing to watch as there are also plenty of historical and mythical humour! There are so much thoughts and efforts put into this film if you analyse it.

One of the Ice Age Sirens.

Thus, this film will certainly charm you, if you allow yourself to enjoy the Ice Age adventure that is!

Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) Behind the Scenes

Favorite Movie Character
They think we're screw-ups and we can't do anything right.

This is difficult to choose as there are more distinct characters introduced. I am always fond of cats like Diego, but there are also adorable hamsters and sirens this time around....

However, the most stand out character in my opinion is Granny!

I find this Granny uncompromising, she won't hesitate to speak her mind. She might be bitter but she is funny as she don't perceive certain situations the same way as others did and she also owns a gigantic pet whale named Precious which none of her family member believed it exist.

Lastly, age doesn't always equal to wisdom but I feel older people has experienced more and know what we don't because they have lived earlier and longer than us so this is character also a tribute to old people! Compared to other sloth, Granny is definitely wiser!

Hope she is still one of the cast in next film because she is hilarious!
