It's all fun and games until someone raises the dead.
You don't become a hero by being normal.

ParaNorman (2012) at a glance
ParaNorman (2012) is a horror family comedy animated feature directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler. It is the first stop motion film that utilized full-color 3D printers for animation and it has won several Best Animated Feature from Film Critics Society/Association around the US.

ParaNorman (2012) Synopsis
ParaNorman is set in the town of Blithe Hollow, whose locals profit from mining the town’s history as the site, 300 years ago, of a famous witch hunt. 11-year-old Norman Babcock spends much of his days appreciating the finer points of scary movies and studying ghost lore. In fact, Norman is gifted with the ability to see and speak with the dead, such as his beloved grandmother. Most days, he prefers their company to that of his flustered father, spacey mother, and deeply superficial older sister Courtney. At middle school, Norman dodges bullying Alvin, confides in the impressionable Neil, and tries to tune out his blowhard teacher Mrs. Henscher.

Norman is unexpectedly contacted by his odd uncle Prenderghast, who floors him with the revelation that a centuries-old witch’s curse is real and is about to come true, and that only Norman will be able to stop it from going into overdrive and harming the townspeople. Once a septet of zombies – led by The Judge – suddenly rises from their graves, Norman finds himself caught in a wild race against time alongside Courtney, Alvin, Neil, and Neil’s musclebound older brother Mitch as Sheriff Hooper chases them all. Worse, the town is up in arms and taking up arms. Norman bravely summons up all that makes a hero – courage and compassion – as he finds his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

Movie Review: ParaNorman (2012)
The Typical Screaming Lady in Horror Movies.

ParaNorman (2012) is possibly one of the best animated halloween movies for all ages that you can find and it sure is in my own list. With plenty of virtuous and classic horror elements from the beginning until the end, the movie as a whole is a little dramatic yet quite an amusing adventure.

Crying Aggie.

Everything in this movie is carefully and beautifully crafted. Each of the distinct characteristics of the characters are usually funny but they are also charming and endearing in their own ways. All these, cordially invite us to live a Norman life in the claymation world which is a reflection of our reality but the true fear in this film is fear itself, not the curse of the witch or the resurrection of the dead.

Courtney, Norman, Alvin, Neil and Mitch.

It's true that people often make mistakes when they are afraid or lost as they have decided to do and said terrible things during those circumstances and although unpleasant things such as bullies, assumptions and accusations cannot be completely avoided, there will still always someone out there for every one of us; we just have to have faith.

Norman hugged by his mother.

Biggest lesson from this movie? It's okay to be weird, abnormal, whatever the society thinks as long we are true to ourselves and we do not harm another soul. And, we must never take our loved ones for granted. Remember that trust, patience and communication are equally important. #Weirdwins!

Favorite Movie Character
Neil and Norman.

For the first time, I am writing two favorite characters for one movie! Reasons because I was torn between Norman and Neil as both of them are very adorable and kind! (And I didn't want spend too much time thinking who to choose and write here haha)

These two boys seems to be unlikely friends but they became quick friends as they have several things in common; they don't discriminate, they accept people for who they are although they are always the outcasts and being bullied by their peers due to their uniqueness!

Most of all, Norman is logical in thinking and he has the ability to see and speak to the dead which is super cool and Neil is a great friend, he always defend and stay by Norman no matter what!

  130. And all what do you want to do is burn and murder stuff. Just burning and murdering. Yeah, shame on every single one of you. How dare you all?
  131. Does it looks like any of them are trying to hurt you? They're just people. Well, at least used to be. Just stupid people who should've known better. They did something unforgivable. Because they were scared. And they were cursed for it. Now it's happening all over again. Don't you get it? They were just like you. But now it has to stop.
  132. I've cheered the uncheerable Norman. I'm not letting you to give up now.
  133. Maybe we should pull over and ask someone.
  134. You're not like me at all.
  135. I don't want to go to sleep. And you can't make me!
  136. Once upon a time, long ago, there was a little girl. A little girl who was different, who was different form any other people in her village. She could see and do things that nobody could understand. And that make them scared of her. She turned away from everyone and became sad and lonely. And had no one to turn to. The more she turn away from the people, the more scared they were of her. And they did something terrible. They became so scared, that they took her away and they killed her! She turned away from everyone. and became sad and lonely. And had no one to turn to. And this part of her wouldn't go away after 300 years. The longer it stays, the less there was of the little girl. Because you want everyone to hurt just as much as you are. So whenever you wake up, you play this mean game. But you don't play fair!
  137. They hurt me!
  138. So you hurt them back?
  139. I wanted everyone to see how rotten they were.
  140. They did something awful but ot doesn't mean you should too. All that's left of you now is mean and horrible
  141. This is wrong and you know it! You spent so long remembering the bad people, and you forgot the good one. There must've been somebody who loved you and cared for you. You don't remember them?
  142. I remember my mommy brought me here once. We sat under the tree and she told me stories. They all had happy endings. And then those horrible men came and took me away. And I never saw her again.
  143. Sometimes when people get scared they say and do horrible things. I think you got so scared that... You forgot who you are. But I don't think you're a witch.
  144. I think you're just a little kid with a really special gift. Who only wanted people to understand her. So we're not all that different at all.
  145. What about the people who hurt you? Don't you ever want to make them suffer?
  146. Well yeah, but... What good would that do?
  147. You think just because there's bad people out there, there's no good one either? I thought the same thing for a while. But there's always someone out there for you. Somewhere.
  148. That story you were telling... How does it ends?
  149. I think that's up to you. Is this where they buried me?
  150. It's a pretty good place to sleep. So you can be with your mom again. Sleep tight.
  151. Yeah, you know what me and Norman are a lot in the same class We're pretty much inseparable, best buds. We do a lot of psychic investigation together. We've a blog actually, you should check them out.
  152. So, I was thinking if we could catch a movie sometimes. Nothing scary.
  153. You're gonna love my boyfriend. He's like a total chick flick nut!
  154. You stop the witch's curse and made the zombies goes away.
  155. I just wanted to say thanks. You stood by me all the time.
  156. Is she... Is she sitting next to me?
